ChildCare Log Privacy Policy

Your trust is our foundation

ChildCare Log helps parents and caregivers record, organize, and share daily care information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have over your data.

Our privacy approach

Privacy built around family care

ChildCare Log stores the information you choose to enter, such as child profiles, care logs, notes, growth entries, and share codes, so the app can provide secure daily care tracking.

We do not sell personal information or child-related information. We do not run ads in the app. Share codes are child-specific, read-only, and can be revoked when access should stop.

Your controls

Control over your care data

Secure account access

No selling or ad tracking

Data choices

Your account is protected with login credentials, and passwords are stored as secure hashes. App data is transmitted over secure connections and stored in backend systems designed to protect user records.

We do not sell personal information or child-related information. ChildCare Log does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs for tracking.

You can edit or delete logs, delete child profiles, revoke share codes, export data with Pro, delete all care data, or delete your account from inside the app.

Privacy Policy

ChildCare Log Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ChildCare Log (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the ChildCare Log mobile application and related services.

ChildCare Log is a mobile app for parents, guardians, and caregivers to record and organize child care information, including child profiles, care logs, growth or weight entries, caregiver sharing, exports, and optional Pro subscription features.

By creating an account or using ChildCare Log, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create and use an account, we may collect:

  • Email address

  • Authentication credentials, with passwords stored as secure hashes

  • Account creation date

  • Subscription status, such as Free or Pro

  • Stripe customer identifier or billing-related metadata when needed to manage subscriptions

Child Profile Information

You may enter information about children under your care, including:

  • Child name

  • Date of birth or age

  • Weight and related profile details

  • Notes or other profile fields you choose to add

Care Log Information

When you create care logs, we may store:

  • Feeding, sleep, diaper, medication, activity, and other care categories

  • Start times, end times, dates, and timestamps

  • Notes and details you enter

  • Associated child profile identifiers

Growth and Weight Data

If you use growth or weight tracking, we store weight entries, dates, and related information linked to a child profile.

Share Codes and Shared Access

If you create a caregiver share code for a specific child, we store the code, the child it relates to, whether the code is active or revoked, and related information needed to provide read-only shared access.

Share codes are child-specific. They do not grant account-wide access.

Payment and Subscription Information

Payment and subscription processing may be handled by Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play, or another supported payment provider depending on where and how you subscribe.

When Stripe is used, we may receive subscription status, Stripe customer ID, plan or price information, invoice status, and payment success or failure indicators. We use this information to enable Pro features and support billing-related account functions.

We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Apple, Google, Stripe, and other payment providers may process payments according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Email and Password Reset Information

Password reset emails may be sent through Resend or another transactional email provider. We may process your email address, reset tokens, and related delivery information. Password reset tokens expire and are not intended for long-term use.

Device, App, and Technical Information

We and our service providers may collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. This may include app version, device type, operating system, IP address, server logs, error logs, and diagnostic information.

We do not currently use a dedicated third-party analytics SDK in the app. We may add privacy-conscious analytics, diagnostics, or crash reporting in the future to improve reliability and product experience. If we make material changes to these practices, we will update this Privacy Policy.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may collect the information you provide, such as your email address and message content, so we can respond and resolve issues.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve ChildCare Log

  • Create and authenticate user accounts

  • Store, organize, and display child profiles and care logs

  • Provide growth tracking, reports, Insights, exports, and other app features

  • Enable child-specific caregiver sharing through share codes

  • Process and manage subscriptions

  • Send password reset and service-related emails

  • Provide optional reminders or notifications if enabled

  • Improve reliability, security, and troubleshooting

  • Detect abuse, prevent fraud, and protect users

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

3. Child-Related Information

ChildCare Log is designed for adults, including parents, guardians, and caregivers. It is not intended for children to create their own accounts.

Because the app is used to track child care information, users may enter child-related data such as names, birth dates, care logs, notes, and weight entries. You are responsible for having the authority and permission to enter, store, and share that information.

Only share caregiver codes with people you trust. Anyone with an active share code may be able to view the information available through that shared view.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We do not sell child-related information.

We may share information only in limited circumstances:

  • With caregivers you authorize through child-specific share codes

  • With service providers that help us operate the app, such as hosting providers, database providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics or crash reporting providers if added, and app distribution platforms

  • With Stripe, Apple, Google, or other payment providers when needed for billing and subscription management

  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request

  • To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of ChildCare Log, our users, or others

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections

Third-party providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Stripe and Billing

If you subscribe through Stripe, Stripe processes your payment and subscription information. We may receive subscription status, Stripe customer ID, plan or price information, and payment or invoice status so we can enable Pro features and support billing inquiries.

We do not store full payment card numbers.

If subscriptions are offered through Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms may process purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds according to their own terms and policies.

6. Analytics and Diagnostics

We may use server logs, error reporting, and, in the future, privacy-conscious analytics or crash reporting to understand how the service performs and to fix bugs.

We do not currently use a dedicated third-party analytics SDK in the app. If we add analytics or crash tools later, they may collect usage events, device or app information, and crash data. We will update this Privacy Policy when material providers or practices change.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and operate the app.

You can edit or delete child profiles and care logs where those features are available.

You can revoke share codes at any time. Revoked codes should no longer provide shared access.

Share codes remain active until revoked or deleted. We do not currently set automatic expiration on share codes.

Password reset tokens expire.

Backups, logs, and operational records may persist for a limited period after deletion.

Files exported from the app, such as CSV or PDF files saved to your device or shared outside the app, are outside ChildCare Log’s control after export.

8. Delete All Data

ChildCare Log allows users to delete app data from inside the app.

The Delete All Data option removes child profiles, care logs, weight logs, and share codes from the app backend. It does not delete your user account. It does not cancel your Pro subscription, if you have one.

If you want to cancel a subscription, use the Manage Subscription option in the app or the relevant payment provider’s cancellation process.

9. Delete Account

ChildCare Log allows users to delete their account from inside the app.

Deleting your account permanently deletes your ChildCare Log account and app data and signs you out.

If you have an active Stripe subscription, ChildCare Log attempts to cancel it during account deletion when the subscription can be identified. If billing continues after account deletion, contact support at support@childcarelog.cloud and also review your subscription through Stripe, Apple App Store, Google Play, or the payment provider you used.

10. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your app version and subscription status, you may be able to:

  • Edit or delete child profiles

  • Edit or delete care logs

  • Revoke caregiver share codes

  • Export care data as CSV or PDF with a Pro subscription

  • Import data from CSV where supported

  • Manage or cancel a Pro subscription

  • Delete all app data

  • Delete your account

  • Disable notifications or reminders through the app or device settings

  • Contact us with privacy requests

To exercise privacy rights or submit a request, contact us at support@childcarelog.cloud.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for sharing share codes only with people you trust.

12. Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing.

Laws vary by location. Contact us at support@childcarelog.cloud to exercise rights that may apply to you.

We do not sell personal information.

13. App Stores and Device Permissions

Apple, Google, and other app stores may collect information about downloads, purchases, subscriptions, and device usage under their own privacy policies.

The app may request device permissions when needed for specific features, such as optional notifications or reminders. If we add features that require camera, photo library, file, contact, or other device permissions, we will request permission at that time and explain why it is needed.

You can manage permissions in your device settings.

14. International Users

If you use ChildCare Log from outside the country where our infrastructure is located, your information may be processed and stored in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice through the app or other reasonable means.

Your continued use of ChildCare Log after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
